It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of the graduation ceremony for our 54 English majors–and the rest of Puget Sound’s Class of 2010–yesterday. The sun broke through periodically as we celebrated the achievements of 54 new alums of our English program and saw them receive their Bachelor of Arts degrees. Honorary Doctor of Arts Preston Singletary sent them on their way to new adventures with a traditional Tlingit song to summon and join our ancestors and to remind us of our shared past, present, and future.
We congratulate you on your achievements, rejoice in your success, and send you on your way to greater things. We love to hear news of what you are doing, and urge you to use this blog, our Facebook group, and any other means of communication to stay in touch.
Best wishes and godspeed to you all!
