Full Moon at Noontide Featured in Today’s Seattle Times; Reading Tonight

Professor Ann Putnam’s memoir, Full Moon at Noontide receives a glowing review in today’s edition of the Seattle Times, which you can read here. Don’t forget that she will read from her work tonight, Friday, January 22, at Elliott Bay Books in Seattle. Congratulations to Ann!

  1. I attended Ann Putnam’s reading along with Professors Joshi, Kupinse, and Mahato. Ann attracted a large crowd and was just a natural up there at the podium as she read from Full Moon at Noontide and fielded questions from the audience. The excerpts she shared from her book were incredibly moving; I have no idea how she made it through the reading without crying. (Many of us in the audience were not so composed.) I bought a copy of the book for myself and look forward to experiencing more of Ann’s writing and her family story.

  2. I find myself reading in small sections–in part to savor Ann’s luminous prose, but also to regulate the flood of emotion her book tends to unleash!
