Tuesday-Afternoon Writing Salon–in Tacoma

Our friends at POETSWEST in Seattle have sent along the following news about a weekly meeting for writers in Tacoma. The “Tuesday Afternoon Writing Salon” is being organized and led by well known author Val Dumond:

“The Tuesday Afternoon Writing Salon begins September 15 in Conference Room at Mandolin Café, 3923 S 12th St., Tacoma. Emphasis will be on new ways to publish your book manuscripts. We’ll meet from 2 to 4 p.m. for eight weeks. If you have a manuscript ready or nearly ready to send out, these sessions are for you. Besides eight weeks of professional instruction and exercises, you’ll receive help with your query letter and proposal, answers to your most innermost questions (about writing and publishing), and feedback from other writers, new and professional.

Four weeks will be devoted to polishing your manuscript; the next four weeks will focus on how to publish your book. $8 per session attended or $50 for all eight (in advance). Contact Jazzyval@aol.com or 253.582.5453 or see www.valdumond.com/.”

Thanks go J. Glenn Evans for passing along the information.
