Blame it on the summer weather

Here in the Pacific Northwest, we’ve had a long stretch of “real” summer; temperatures over 65, and no rain. We blame this extraordinary meteorological occurrence for the fact that Bloomsday (June 16) nearly slipped by without mention. Today is the 105th anniversary of the events of Joyce’s famous novel Ulysses: the day to celebrate Joyce, and to find magnificence in the mundane.
