Alum Is Prolific Film-maker

Joe La Sac, a 2008 graduate of Puget Sound, is a prolific director and producer of short documentary, dramatic, and artistic films.  La Sac uploads many of the films to Youtube, and some have been viewed tens of thousands of times. Many of the films focus on political and social issues & events, such as anti-war protests (including the Port of Tacoma protest) and the Republican National Convention.  La Sac has also created films based on poems by Billy Collins and on a poem by English Department professor Hans Ostrom (“Emily Dickinson and Elvis Presley in Heaven”).  In addition, La Sac writes a blog about political and economic issues; it’s called “Utopia or Bust” and appears on WordPress.com.  Here is a link to La Sac’s site on Youtube:
